School teachers and the School Governing Body (SGB) were shocked after a robbery that transpired at Vamuhle Primary School, Boekenhouthoek on Thursday, 15 April. The teachers and SGB discovered that the school was robbed when they reported for work in the early hours of the morning on Friday, 16 April.
It is alleged that the stuff office and the storeroom were forcefully opened and school resources were stolen. The stolen resources includes two laptops, ten tablets, one desktop, school nutrition food, electric cord extension, water boiling urn and school petty cash amounting to R1000.
The SGB urges the community to unite and work together in combatting such acts. The SGB notes that school property belongs to the community and for children to learn. “We request anyone with information regarding this matter to come forward and assist the school to find the perpetrators of this deed,” said SGB.
