Situated in KwaMhlanga, Kwandebele in the Mpumalanga Province, Solomon Mahlangu stadium which was previously used during the National Soccer League era by Witbank Aces will be revamped. The renewal is occurring for the third time; however the stadium has not been used for professional football matches for 17 years now since the Black Aces days.

Although TS Galaxy currently uses the 2010 World Cup venue Mbombela Stadium as their home ground, Tim Sukazi who is the club president mentioned that the 2019 Nedbank Cup winners would love to play their matches in their home base of Kwandebele in the near future. The Rockets used Kameelrivier Stadium in the Glad Africa Championship last season but had to ditch it for Mbombela due to its condition. Sukazi told Flare FM that they had to play in Mbombela because in Kwandebele there is no stadium that suits PSL standards.

Simphiwe Mashiyane who works for Thembisile Hani municipality confirmed to Flare FM sports extra that Galaxy will be allowed to use the historic venue. “Yes, it is true. The stadium is in the process of upgrading,” he said. He further explained that the stadium has been in the municipality’s integrated development (IDP). He added that it was reprioritised when the council took a decision to focus on water projects as the municipality was facing water challenges. He concluded by saying the stadium will be open to the public, including TS Galaxy.
