
SABC 1’s primetime weekday drama Uzalo has been put on notice to come up with creative storylines or face being canned following months of “boring” content and declining viewership.
According to latest data by the Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa, the soapie has been losing viewers very fast, which is a headache for SABC’s top management and the board. The sharpie’s viewership hit 11,4 million in April before dropping to 8.8 million last month.
