The public has been warned by the Electoral Commission about a fake job advertisement, which has recently been making rounds on social networks. The advert announced 50 000 vacancies for young people, and the organisation reveals that it is not legitimate.

According to the Electoral Commission, there are fraudsters using the online job advertisement in the name of the organisation to obtain personal information from unsuspecting job seekers. The advert requests jobseekers to submit their personal information in order to complete the application process.

The organisation emphasizes that the email address and logo used in the job advertised is not that of the organisation. The Electoral Commission urges job seekers to apply only on vacancies advertised on its official website www.elections.org.za
