With the high temperatures of 37ºC forecast for Pretoria and 34ºC for Johannesburg on today, the South African Weather Service has urged people to take precautions.
It was reported that The heat wave is expected to peak on Monday and Tuesday in various provinces including Gauteng, North West, Mpumalanga, Free State and eastern parts of the Northern Cape, although high temperatures are also expected during the week.
The weather service has advised people to stay hydrated with water, Limit physical outdoor activity between 11am and 3pm and staying out of direct sunlight.
