Panyaza Lesufi voiced out his concerns about a disturbing incident of bullying at Ferndale High School on 09 October, Friday.
He said that they received a video clip, which has gone viral on social media. The clip showed a Grade 9 female learner assaulting a fellow Grade 9 female learner, dragging her with her hair badly outside the school premises. Lesufi added that the perpetrator has been suspended until necessary disciplinary process is undertaken in due course.
It is said that the perpetrator has allegedly been tormenting fellow learners on several occasions which raised concerns. Lesufi concluded by saying, “we are happy that the said perpetrator has been suspended, we condemn ill-discipline in our environment. Accordingly we do not under estimate such incidents especially bullying which is a serious concern to us, we will monitor this investigation closely,” he said.
