Mosimane arrived in Cairo along with fitness coach, Kabelo Rangoaga and performance analyst, Musi Matlaba. they arrived in the early hours of the morning after the Egyptian Premier League champions secured all three from Mamelodi Sundowns. It was no surprise that proceedings escalated at lightning pace for the most demanding job in African football, as they were offered a tour of the entire sports club ground before officially putting pen to paper on their respective contracts.
after the introduction and walk about within the historic corridors of the 113-year-old institution, director of football Sayed Abdelhafiz and club president Mohamed ‘Bibo’ El Khatib held a joint meeting in the club’s intimidating boardroom. During the one hour meeting, the mandate and expectation of Mosimane and his technical team in order to meet the expectations of the hierarchy were discussed.
The former Masandawana head coach will take his first training session with the first team at Mokhtar El Tetsh Stadium at 18h00.
